Behemoth Concert Postponed

Organizers of the Indian Music Conference will announce new dates later this week

Behemoth fans may have to wait longer before the Polish metallers make their India debut. The band was to headline the 2012 edition of annual music and networking event Indian Music Conference [IMC] on November 3rd in Bengaluru. The conference has been pushed back due to organizational hassles.  Confirms Salama Yamini, head of IMC, “Behemoth’s concert has been postponed due to back-end problems with the sponsors. We will be announcing the new dates in the coming week. The Behemoth concert is on.”

UK tech/prog metal band Cyanide Serenity posted on their Facebook page, “The IMC has been cancelled by the organizers and will be pushed back to a later date, dates TBA.” This is not the first time that Cyanide Serenity’s show with IMC has been marred by glitches. In 2010, the IMC in Goa was to feature international bands such as Cyanide Serenity, American progressive rock band Cynic, French heavy metallers, Hacride and German symphonic metal act, Leaves’ Eyes. However, two members of Cynic didn’t get their visas in time, while the other bands failed to put up a show. Indian bands such as Thermal And A Quarter, who got to perform, struggled with multiple technical issues.

For now, Behemoth, who have just wrapped up a South America tour, are prepping up for a concert on a heavy metal cruise from Sweden to Finland this November. The Polish band has not posted any details about their upcoming India tour.
