Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is set to release in Indian theatres this month.
While the “Break My Soul” singer’s film was globally released on December 1st, 2023, Indian fans will be able to view it in theaters starting Thursday, January 4, 2024.
As of December 2023, the film has grossed $32.8 million in the US and Canada and $10.1 million in other territories, for a worldwide total of $42.9 million.
The film is written, directed, and produced by Beyoncé herself. It “chronicles the development and execution of the singer’s 2023 Renaissance World Tour, conducted to support her 2022 studio album Renaissance.
Last month, PVR shared the official trailer for Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé on Instagram. The duration of the film is 2 hours, 48 minutes.
“Ring the alarm! Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé in cinemas from 4th Jan!” they wrote in the caption.
In a five-star review for The Independent, Roisin O’Connor wrote that Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé “shows a level of perfectionism beyond any other artist” through “a rare and remarkable” inside look into the tour’s production, comparing Beyoncé to filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
Sughnen Yongo of Forbes added that the core of the film is “Beyoncé’s unparalleled artistic mastery,” which “seamlessly blends music, dance, and cinematography” into a “cinematic experience that is both vivid and authentic.”
Fans can buy tickets to Beyoncé’s films on all ticketing platforms as well as at physical box offices.
