Bhoomi is a heavy metal band from Bangalore. Formed in 2002, the band won the Strawberry Fields battle-of-the-bands competition at the National Law School, Bangalore early in their career and since then have won several such competitions. The quartet is currently working on their first studio album which they plan on releasing in the near future.
Bhoomi, formed in April 2002 with the sole intention of playing Old School Heavy Metal, inspired by Iron Maiden, (early)Metallica, (early)Megadeth, Judas Priest,Black Sabbath, AC/DC etc. The band had a dream start at the National Law School 2002 when they were the first college band ever to get into the semi ”“ pro finals by playing an all original set.
