BLACKPINK’s Lisa Teases Her Upcoming Solo Project ‘LALISA’

The Thai rapper shared a short visual clip ahead of her track’s release

Published by

Known as a member of South Korea’s leading girl group, BLACKPINK, Lisa has unveiled the teaser to her first-ever solo project, LALISA. The single album’s title is inspired by the rapper’s birth name, Lalisa Manoban.

The short clip takes a dark route, positioning Lisa as a force to be reckoned with. With hues of red and black, the rapper appears seated, looking straight ahead with confidence. The video is further dramatized by the booming sound of thunder and with Lisa silhouetted by an eerie background as strokes of lightning flash through the sky.

With the announcement poster and video teaser checked off, LALISA is scheduled to drop on September 10th at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST.) There are also rumors afloat that Lisa’s solo release could also feature producer DJ Snake–a rumor fuelled by ominous posts by the French DJ on his social media over the last few months.

LALISA is the third solo project to emerge from BLACKPINK. Previous works from the quartet include rapper Jennie’s 2018 release “Solo” and vocalist Rosé’s single EP titled R. On the other hand, vocalist Jisoo is currently shooting her first-ever Korean drama, Snowdrop, scheduled to air later this year.
