Blackpink‘s Rosé is one of the artists contributing to the original soundtrack, F1: The Album, for the upcoming Hollywood film F1, heralding her first movie soundtrack.

The album is “an exciting mix of established and new talent, with plenty of original songs,” according to a Formula 1 article, which also features renowned artists like Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat, Don Toliver, Tate McRae, Raye, and many more, in addition to the Blackpink singer and solo artist. It also reveals that the Miami Grand Prix is hosting an exclusive and immersive F1: The Album activation to commemorate the soundtrack’s release. The event, set to take place in a secluded VIP paddock only a few feet from the real F1 team garages, will bring the movie’s fictitious racing team to life with a reproduction of their garage.

F1, a sports drama directed by Joseph Kosinski, stars Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One (F1) racer who calls it quits after a tragic accident. Years later, he’s pulled back into the racing world when a Formula One team owner asks him to coach rookie driver Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) and revive the struggling Apex Grand Prix team’s shot at a championship title.

Regarding her involvement in the project, Rosé took to her Instagram page, sharing the F1: The Album poster and expressing her excitement. “I am soooooo frickin excited for you all to hear my very first movie soundtrack … It’s happening!! This movie’s gonna be willldddd,” she wrote.

The record will be available in stores from June 27th, coinciding with the film’s release.
