Formerly known as Blech, Blek is a three-piece Alt Punk/Dance Rock band from Mumbai. Formed in 2010 by Rishi Bradoo (Vocals and guitar), Jared Creado (Bass) and Varoon Aiyer (Drums), the band replaced Aiyer [who left the band in order to focus on his career at a business and IT consultancy company] with Linford D’Souza. Blek has released one EP titled Hexes+Drama & Other Reasons For Evacuation in February, 2012 and plans to release another in the future. They were one of the winners of the Ray-Ban Never Hide Sounds talent hunt in 2011 and picked up the Best Emerging Act award at the Jack Daniel’s Annual Rock Awards 2012.
