If you’ve read the word “experiential” attached to music festival descriptions for a while now, Bloom In Green goes one step further to call itself India’s largest “transformational festival.” Taking place between December 15th to 18th at Sanctity Ferme near Bengaluru, international and Indian performers will be part of the upcoming edition.

What exactly does a transformational festival entail, though? In addition to a music lineup featuring electronic music and live bands, they’re hosting more than 25 workshops led by 150 artists and facilitators. That covers everything from yoga and sound healing to pottery and dance. “The festival aims to provide transformative experiences and help attendees embrace a conscious, creative, and healthy lifestyle,” a press release for the event states.

The festival’s music lineup brings in fusion acts as well as ethno-electronic, downtempo and minimal techno amongst its 28 artists. U.K. downtempo and ambient artist Kaya Project aka Seb Taylor is among the headliners, alongside Israeli act Shtuby, fusion act Prem Joshua & Band, tribal music act Shanka Tribe, French guitarist-producer Suduaya, German producer Carbon, electronica/fusion act Sitarsonic (also from Germany), singer-songwriter Jeremiah De Rozario, disco duo Playing Mandis, reggae and dub artist Sanyas-I and more.

Among the other workshops slated to be hosted dive into capoeira, acro yoga, bird watching, mushroom studies, poi, slacklining and other activities, all often conducted inside a big tent at the festival.

The upcoming edition of Bloom In Green also has camping grounds. “Every attendee isn’t a mere spectator but an essential piece of a vast mosaic. The ethos of community is profound, creating an environment where moments are not just lived but felt deeply,” the press release for the festival states.

Like a few other festivals taking place around India, there’s an eye on ecological awareness and sustainability practices as part of Bloom In Green, which is also child-friendly and pet-friendly.

The final phase of passes are now on sale, with the festival ticket priced at ₹13,799 for three-day access, with day passes going for ₹4,160 per person per day. Tents can be rented out at the festival area or stay in a nearby town, according to the Bloom In Green website.

The 2022 edition of Bloom In Green featured the likes of Pune-based band Easy Wanderlings, Arunachal singer-songwriter Taba Chake, Chennai-based jazz-fusion act Jatayu, singer-songwriter Frizzell D’Souza and others. Check out the after movie for festival’s previous edition below.
