This past weekend, the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai’s BKC hosted the second edition of the two-day music festival BMW Joytown.

On April 12th, the inaugural day of the event, attendees were treated to a dazzling array of performances that set the stage on fire. DJ OG Shez started the festivities, followed by an energetic set from the indie folk-rock band When Chai Met Toast. The excitement peaked when Armaan Malik graced the stage, captivating the crowd with his popular songs and vibrant presence. And to finish day one, the headlining act, the internationally acclaimed electronic duo, The Chainsmokers, delivered a performance that was nothing short of mesmerizing, leaving attendees in awe and craving more.

The next day, the excitement continued to soar to new heights with a lineup that promised to captivate and enthrall. DJ duo IB INC (Ishani X Bobkat) kicked off the day with a dynamic set that set the tone for the festivities ahead, blending genres seamlessly to keep the crowd on their toes. Next up was the performance by the Bengaluru hip-hop/neo-soul act T.ill APES (consisting of Paal Dabba, Mary Ann-Alexander, Sange Wangchuck, Philip John, Gautam David, Soorya Praveen, and Amrith Raghunathan), whose infectious rhythms and thought-provoking lyrics left a lasting impression on all who bore witness.

Next was producer/DJ Karan Kanchan, who took the stage by storm, bringing out surprise guests such as Munawar Faruiqui, Shekhar Ravjiani, Lisa Mishra, Yashraj, and Bharg, among others. As the curtains drew to a close on this unforgettable weekend, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh took center stage for a closing set that was nothing short of legendary.

Joytown ignited the senses with its high-octane spectacle, leaving attendees exhilarated and spellbound. Beyond the beats, the festival served up delectable culinary delights. Enthusiasts reveled in the fusion of BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad, experiencing the pulse-pounding synergy of cars, bikes, music, and entertainment firsthand.

Motor enthusiasts were treated to an exhilarating experience at the BMW zone, where innovation and luxury converged to unveil surprises at every corner. Meanwhile, the MINI zone captivated attendees with its dynamic display, showcasing the iconic MINI Countryman and the thrilling MINI 3-door Hatch. At the BMW Motorrad zone, adrenaline junkies were thrilled by a showcase of bikes and accessories. And with a variety of food trucks and the inviting Beer Garden, attendees had an abundance of refreshment options to choose from.

BMW Joytown 2024 was a magical experience and one that fans will eagerly await to attend again.
