Bombay Bassment

Bombay Bassment is a four-piece hip-hop/drum n bass band from Mumbai, formed in 2010. The lineup consists of their MC Bob, drummer Levin, bassist Ruell and DJ Chandu.
The group was voted the winner of Converse Original Band Hunt Mumbai finale which was held at the Bandra Fort Amphitheater yesterday evening.
The free entry gig was well attended with a cast of who is who in the upcoming band scene taking turns to rock the crowd at the picturesque venue.
Out of 80 entries, only 5 bands made the cut off, Blind Ritual, Bombay Bassment, Seher, Summer Print Junkies and The Riot Peddlers.
With a heavy presence of metal fans in the place, it seemed like the odds were against the hip hop playing band, but at the end of it, seems like not everyone was blinded by their specific tastes. Shouts of “Bombay Bassment” rent the air with even metal heads approving when they were asked who they thought was the winner.
