Brian Cox said he'd be open to a movie version of the HBO series "if it's good enough"

Brian Cox is willing to participate in a Succession film spinoff, the Emmy-winning actor told Variety in an interview over the weekend.
We’ll see,” Cox said. “If it’s good enough and [series creator] Jesse Armstrong wants to do it, I might do it.”
How Cox would participate in any such film isn’t immediately clear as his character Logan Roy was killed off several episodes into Succession’s fourth and final season last year. Any new Succession material featuring Logan would likely have to be a prequel, a flashback, or a hallucination. Or Armstrong could take a sharp left turn and reanimate Roy’s rotten corpse.
Succession‘s finale left many potential storylines without clear resolution, like how Waystar Royco will function with Tom Wamsgans running the company under Lukas Mattson’s thumb or what becomes of Kendall Roy since the long-coveted CEO position slipped through his fingers after his boardroom meltdown to his siblings.
Kieran Culkin said on the Golden Globes red carpet last week that he’d be most interested in seeing a spin-off show for Nicholas Braun‘s oafish yet occasionally competent cousin Greg. “Cousin Greg would make a good spin-off show, I gotta be honest,” Culkin said. That would be kind of fun.”
Cox didn’t seem to agree. “I don’t think Nick Braun would want to do it either,” Cox told Variety. “He’s going onto other things, which are really exciting for him.”
Succession heads into the Emmys Monday night as a heavy contender to dominate the ceremony. The show led all nominees with 27. Cox and virtually the entire leading cast earned outstanding actor and actress nominations, and the show is up for outstanding drama.
