The global pop stars appeared on the show with a live band to perform stripped down renditions of three hit songs

Global superstars BTS appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series today, performing three hit singles from various important eras of their discography. Although COVID-19 made it impossible for the group to perform at the iconic Tiny Desk studio at the NPR in Washington, D.C, they made do with a colorful studio stylized as a record store.

Accompanied by a live band and dressed in Seventies-style retro outfits, the group began with their recent Number One disco-pop single “Dynamite” before treating audiences to a rare performance of the track “Save Me” from their landmark 2016 album The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. They finally ended the set with the evergreen and emotional “Spring Day,” with vocalist Jungkook commenting, “I believe at such difficult times like now, we all are wishing for the spring day to come.” NPR later confirmed the video had crossed a million views in just 33 minutes.

Last week, BTS performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival as well as America’s Got Talent and are preparing for their online and offline concert ‘Map of the Soul ON:E’, set to take place in October. Earlier today, they also announced a partnership with Epic Games, sharing that they will premiere a new choreography version music video for “Dynamite” inside the video game Fortnite on September 25th. Players can watch the video at Party Royale’s Main Stage within the game. BTS are also currently gearing up for their comeback later this year, rounding off 2020 with an upcoming untitled album.
