BTS member J-Hope has announced new album Hope on the Street Vol. 1 and an accompanying docuseries titled Hope on the Street. The LP will be released on March 29, with the first episode of the six-part docuseries arrives on March 27 via Prime Video.

The “special album” will feature six tracks that along with the docuseries “organically dive into the theme of ‘dance,’ the core of J-Hope’s artistic roots and identity,” according to a press release. The series sees the singer exploring several cities, including Osaka, Paris, New York, Seoul, and Gwangju, South Korea, where he meets street dancers who provide inspiration amid his travels.

Hope on the Street is a project J-Hope has been sharing through his career, featuring a series of dance videos. A new clip from the series compiles several of his previous dance visuals while teasing what’s to come in 2024.

Preorders for Hope on the Street Vol. 1 can be made beginning today, Feb. 18 at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes of the Hope on the Street docuseries will arrive every Thursday and Friday following the docuseries premiere on March 27.

In October, J-Hope gave fans an update on his mandatory military service in South Korea (he enlisted in April).

“Although I am working hard and adapting faster than I expected, I feel a lot of pressure… because my role is to lead and help young Koreans take their first steps in the military organization,” he wrote. He added that he recently achieved the “Super Warrior” title in the army. “I do my best at every moment in the situation and there are good results,” he wrote.

BTS announced they would go on hiatus in 2022 so all seven members could complete their miliatry service requirements. The group is expected to reconvene in 2025.
