BTS Jimin’s Solo Album Is Around the Corner
The vocalist will reportedly release his solo album next month
2023 is looking bright for the members of BTS. Following the success of his feature on BigBang Taeyang’s certified hit “Vibe,” singer-songwriter and BTS member Jimin will reportedly release his solo album as early as next month. The album will officially mark Jimin’s debut as a soloist.
Earlier today, South Korean news outlet Sports Donga reported that the singer’s solo album is scheduled to be released this February. In a statement shared via XportNews and MyDaily, BTS’ label BigHit Music neither confirmed nor denied the report but explained that they are “currently coordinating schedules with regards to BTS Jimin’s solo and will share more details once finalized.”
Reports surrounding Jimin’s solo album follow BTS members j-hope and RM’s solo LPs Jack In The Box and Indigo respectively. Last year, the pop titans announced their decision to move forward with their mandatory military duties and reconvene as a group around 2025. The announcement was then followed by a slew of solo projects which includes Jin’s “The Astronaut” and solo photo folio projects curated and conceptualized by the members.
In Jimin’s case, the singer worked alongside Ha Sung-woon on “With you” — the OST from tvN’s drama Our Blues. The track peaked at the number one spot on Billboard’s US Digital Songs Sales chart. “With You” was also picked as the best K-drama OST of 2022 by Rolling Stone India. Aside from the OST, Jimin alongside BTS’ vocal line Jin, V, and Jung Kook collaborated with Benny Blanco and Snoop Dogg on the Summer 2022 single “Bad Decisions.” In September, Jimin released his photo folio Me, Myself, and Jimin ‘ID : Chaos.
