BTS’ Jung Kook Wanders around Qatar in ‘Dreamers’ Music Video

The singer first performed the track at FIFA 2022's opening ceremony held earlier this weekend

“Dreamer’s” music video has successfully made its way into our reality. After weeks of anticipation and an illustrious live performance at FIFA 2022’s opening ceremony, BTS Jung Kook’s music video for his big-budgeted solo project “Dreamers” is finally here. The single serves as the official soundtrack for the ongoing FIFA 2022 world cup that kicked off on Sunday, November 20th.

Featuring Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi, the music video captures the beauty of Qatari culture. From gorgeous architectural structures, and vibrant alleys of a souq market to swanky skyscrapers and more; the music video highlights the best of what Qatar has to offer both visually and sonically. The bilingual track sees Jung Kook and Al-Kubaisi singing about the power of dreaming in English and Arabic respectively; “Look who we are, we are the dreamers/ We make it happen, ’cause we believe it/ Look who we are, we are the dreamers/ We make it happen ’cause we can see it.”

According to a Twitter thread, the spirited intro which gives “Dreamers” its anthemic feel is inspired by a tune Gulf sailors would sing to lift their spirits.

“Dreamers” joins tracks from artists like Nicki Minaj, Maluma, Davido, Myriam Fares and more as the official soundtracks of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Jung Kook’s latest project follows his June 2022 feature on Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right.” Earlier this year, the singer and BTS’ youngest member lent his vocals on the OST “Stay Alive.” Produced by bandmate Suga, the track served as the official OST to BTS’ ongoing webtoon 7Fates: Chakho. Between his musical projects, the singer also kickstarted the group’s photofolio series where each member expresses their unique colors through a theme-based visual tapestry.
