Bush Debut ‘Sound of Winter’ on ‘Kimmel’

British grunge rockers go post-punk on comeback single

Published by

Recently reunited British grunge rockers Bush stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to perform “The Sound of Winter,” the first single from The Sea of Memories, their first album since 2001. The new tune updates their anthemic, overwhelming sound with an aloof, Wire-like post-punk vibe and trebly guitar harmonics that amp up the song’s nervous energy. The band have always had a taste for arty British rock; it’s nice to see that they have embraced that on their comeback album.
