Cardi B Taps Selena Gomez, Janet Jackson, Lizzo, More Stars for ‘Am I the Drama?’ Album

Spotify unveiled the album's collaborators — which also include Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and Cash Cobain — on billboards across the United States

Cardi B is revving up the drama for her sophomore album by unveiling the collaborators featured on the record. On Monday, the rapper partnered with Spotify to announce that Janet JacksonSelena Gomez, Summer Walker, and Lizzo will be among the stars featured on Am I the Drama?, out this Friday.

“WHO ELSE IS THE DRAMA?” asked Cardi on socials, alongside revealing the list of collaborators, which also includes Kehlani, Megan Thee Stallion, Cash Cobain, and Tyla.

The Megan inclusion may be in reference to “WAP,” which, despite being dropped years ago, is the closing song on the 23-song track list. Also included on the album are songs “Up,” “Outside,” and “Imaginary Playerz.”

Cardi has yet to reveal the track list, but the album will feature several reconnections: the Bronx rapper will link with Kehlani again after the Bay Area musician was featured on Invasion of Privacy standout “Ring;” Gomez and Cardi collaborated on DJ Snake’s viral hit “Taki Taki” from 2018; Cardi joined Lizzo’s “Rumors” in 2021; and Cardi teamed up with Walker for the extended version of “No Love,” which also featured SZA, in 2022.

I really want to talk about the life changes that I’ve been dealing with the past six, seven years,” Cardi previously told Rolling Stone about the record. “But then it’s just like, I feel like people don’t deserve to know because people use my pain against me.”

Cardi has been going viral for her album promo these last several weeks. She’s posted up like a bootleg seller on the streets of New York, went on the subway to sell the record, and even hosted a pop-up shop at a bodega to promote the LP.

“I am so overwhelmed … It’s like I’m pushing another baby,” Cardi said on the Jennifer Hudson Show Monday. “It was completely completed and this is what’s missing out there. I touch on everything I wanted to touch.” Cardi told Hudson that she’ll also be touring the album soon.
