If you have a childhood memory featuring a keyboard, chances are it was a Casio. There’s also a 99 percent chance are that you called your keyboard a Casio.

This month, Rolling Stone India has partnered with Casio India for an exciting campaign titled #CasioMakesMusicians. On board this project are some of India’s most prominent artists — Rohan Rajadhyaksha, Ramon Ibrahim, Aditi Ramesh, Anurag Naidu and Tushar Lall — talking about their experience with the newest Casio keyboard on the block.

#CasioMakesMusicians focuses on the versatility of the feature-packed CT-X 9000IN. From studio to stage, this instrument offers the best of both worlds and is suited for performance across multiple scenarios. It also has an extensive array of Indian sounds and rhythms built in.

“The Series #CasioMakesMusicians in association with Rolling Stone India represents an unprecedented level of sound and feature quality for new Casio CT-X keyboards. We at Casio India have always worked towards developing the market and following our philosophy of creativity and contribution, strive towards developing such great products with high quality features which further expand the market. This project with multi-talented musicians is another step to inspire aspiring artists to explore and create music beyond their boundaries with products like the new Casio CT-X range,” says Sachin Sharma AGM- Marketing, Casio India Co. Private Ltd.

Rolling Stone India and Casio India have been allies for a long time and with this partnership we wish to put the spotlight on a new breed of promising artists who are accomplished, versatile and open to sonic explorations. The Casio CT-X 9000IN is made just for today’s new-age musician and we couldn’t be more thrilled to help connect the musician community with the cutting technology that Casio India offers through its instruments,” says Nirmika Singh, Executive Editor, Rolling Stone India.

“The Casio CT-X 9000IN is the ideal companion if I want to plug in and write with a bunch of inspiring sounds,” says singer-songwriter and composer Rohan Rajadhyaksha, best known for his stint with the Mumbai band Spud In The Box. Rajadhyaksha has been involved with peers like Tejas Menon and Dhruv Visvanath and is currently working on his own solo project Rohan.

Given the wide array of dynamic Indian tones and rhythms, the newly launched keyboard is a perfect fit for touring musicians during the gig season. Ramon Ibrahim of the ska/reggae band The Fanculos, who also performs with a lot of commercial talent, says, “I love the Indian sounds on the Casio CT-X 9000IN has. I play with a lot of Bollywood artists and these would sound fantastic on stage.”
