The British electronica dance music duo will perform at Bacardi Arena, a new stage featuring headlining acts, at the Pune festival

The folks at Bacardi NH7 Weekender have been pretty committed about keeping secrets. Festival organizer, Vijay Nair and team finally let out one little secret last night, announcing one of the headliners at their upcoming music fest. British electronica duo Chase & Status, who have headlined festivals such as Glastonbury, will perform a DJ set as part of the Pune festival, slated to take place between October 18th to October 20th. The dance music duo will perform at Bacardi Arena, a new stage at the festival dedicated to headlining acts.Â
While the venue and the rest of the headlining acts are yet to be announced, tickets for the festival will be out on sale starting tomorrow. Besides Chase & Status, world music star Manu Chao and prog metal band Textures will also perform in Pune. Leading Indian bands such as Indian Ocean, The Raghu Dixit Project and Pentagram as well as first-timers at Weekender such as Brit-indie pop duo Slow Club, guitarist and singer-songwriter Donn Bhat’s Passenger Revelator, American clarinetist Shankar Tucker and Mumbai folk fusion band Maati Baani are all on the bill at the fourth edition of one of the most successful festivals that the country has seen.Â
