Catch all the action from gig featuring Sound Avtar and DJ Proof, held last weekend
Mumbai-based bass/dub producer Piyush Bhatnagar aka Sound Avtar played an intense set at the recently held gig CK2 Night, at the city’s latest and growing favorite music hub Antisocial Khar. Calvin Klein reached out to millennials with his music event and drew a diverse youth crowd comprising electronic music enthusiasts and patrons of brand CK.
CK2 Night kicked off with an opening set by Mumbai hip hop/dancehall artist Vinayak Pasula aka DJ Proof. He played some old school hip-hop and mixed it with current club hits. The dense party that he started was thoroughly warmed up by the time Sound Avtar took to the stage. The latter played to the crowd and didn’t let one dull moment creep in. After easing the enthusiastic dancers on the floor into the set by dropping tracks that most people knew, he switched to some unyielding drum ”˜n’ bass. His set was everything you’d expect at an underground dnb gathering ”“ an up-tempo setlist and tight grooves that stick in your mind for hours after the gig’s over.
Apart from the music, the ambience at this debut edition of CK2 Night was perfect. At the entrance, attendees could sample the new CK2 perfume and those who posted a picture from the CK photo booth with the #The2OfUs hashtag won a bottle!
