The India takeover of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival continues. The 2024 lineup of the American mainstay event brings Punjabi-Canadian artists AP Dhillon and NAV, alongside Chennai-born, West Coast-raised singer-songwriter Sid Sriram over two weekends between April 12th to April 14th and April 19th to April 21st at Indio, California.

Sid Sriram, who released his album Sidharth last year via Def Jam, will perform on April 12th and 19th, while AP Dhillon and NAV will perform separate sets on April 14th and 21st. The artists join the world’s top-tier performers including U.K. rock band Blur, the reunion of American ska/pop/rock band No Doubt, hip-hop artists like Doja Cat and Tyler, the Creator and pop artist Lana Del Rey, among several others.

Sriram posted the news on his Instagram and said, “We play day 1, both weekends. Legendary set is a promise. Just the beginning.” He later added via a Story, “When I say legendary set is a promise, I mean that shit with my chest man. Deep, deep energy.”

In our cover story interview last year, Dhillon spoke about settling into superstardom in India and overseas. He told Rolling Stone India, “I’m just putting myself out there. This is the time for fans—the whole world—to get to know me. And not just me, but the whole team.”

Coachella drew more Indian eyeballs last year when they announced Punjabi pop frontrunner Diljit Dosanjh as a performer, his now-famous declaration of how Punjabis have reached Coachella signaled more South Asian artists performing at one of the most-attended festivals in the world. Dosanjh has capitalized on his Coachella performance, releasing his album Ghost and also collaborating with the likes of pop singer-songwriter Sia on “Has Has.”
