The upcoming third season of collaborative song series Coke Studio Bharat returns with a diverse lineup featuring singer-composer Vishal Mishra, Gujarati artist Aditya Gadhvi (returning after the success of “Khalasi” in 2023), singer-songwriter Shalmali Kholgade and more.

It’s a country-spanning look at music traditions and modern twists for Coke Studio Bharat, who have also enlisted Punjabi artists like Jassa Dhillon and Thiarajxtt, Haryanvi star Dhanda Nyoliwala, Tamil composer Santhosh Narayanan, Malayalam rapper Dabzee and Tamil-Canadian artist SVDP, among others.

The first song from the new season will be out in the coming weeks, announced to be “Holi Aayi Re” featuring Mishra, folk singer Malini Awasthi and singer-songwriter Prateeksha Srivastava. The song marks the upcoming festival of colors, Holi.

More artists part of the full lineup for Coke Studio Bharat season three include Assamese artist Shankuraj Konwar, singer Madhubanti Bagchi, Punjabi singer-composer and lyricist Xvir aka Harshvir Singh Grewal, Punjabi artist Gulab Sidhu, R&B artist Raaginder and Tamil artists like producer OfRo, vocal group Indian Choral Ensemble, Tamil singer-composer and lyricist Jayamoorthy and Gujarati/Hindi artist Siddharth Amit Bhavsar.

While the show saw the departure of ‘creative architect’ and curator Ankur Tewari last year, a rep for Coke Studio Bharat confirmed that the A&R team at Universal Music India has taken over the curation this season.

The inclusion of Tamil artists may also indicate that their other series Coke Studio Tamil is getting merged with Coke Studio Bharat after two seasons, but a formal announcement is yet to be made.
