Collesttye’s ‘Bluntonomics’ with Wiz Khalifa Turns a Desi Hip-Hop Meme Into A Star Collab

The Noida-based rapper taps the American rap star ahead of the latter's appearance at Rolling Loud India this week

Earlier this year, Collesttye aka Bhuvas Singh Tomar casually broke down his track “CGPA,” unaware of the barrage of memes and parodies that would flood the internet. Nevertheless, his infamous “Bluntonomics” professor lore has now transformed “CGPA” into a hyperpop rager featuring none other than American rapper Wiz Khalifa.

“Bluntonomics” is pretty much a new version of “CGPA” from Collesttye’s 2025 full-length project Habromania. However, Khalifa’s hop-on at the 2:40 mark amplifies the manic energy of the track further. The high-octane track’s maximal cover art was spearheaded by Aryan Singh, who had previously directed Tomar’s music video “Carter.”

Known for his genre-bending sound and eclectic, Y2K-coded music videos, Noida’s Sector 50 native is among the next wave of Indian hip-hop artists who are cranking the barometer of experimentation. Bringing back the grittiness of SoundCloud rap from the 2010s, with trap elements and synth, the 19-year-old rapper’s musical influences range from classical piano to beats that borrow sonically from new school hip-hop. Be it the love-laden 2024 debut project Olivera to obscure yet energizing Habromania, Collesttye’s discography is a direct reflection of his life and musical identity.

Having previously worked with Indo-American pop duo THEMXXNLIGHT, this is Khalifa’s second collaboration with a desi artist, coming ahead of his headline set at Rolling Loud India in Kharghar this weekend.
