In an exciting venture that fuses underground art with mainstream pop culture, Comet has announced the unveiling of a limited-edition sneaker designed in collaboration with renowned graphic designer and illustrator Santanu Hazarika.
The collaboration aims to celebrate the convergence of diverse voices that often resonate silently within both the art and sneaker communities.
According to a press note, “This limited edition release stands as a testament to the marriage of underground art and pop culture, symbolizing a fusion of voices that have always resonated in silence.”
Comet plans to sell only 300 pairs of these exclusive sneakers, making them highly sought-after collectors items.
Speaking of the creative inspiration behind this project, Hazarika told Rolling Stone India, “This collaboration with Comet is the fusion of our creative visions where my artistic rebellion blends with Comet’s unapologetic ethos.
He added, “This range of ‘Silent and Scream’ is inspired by punk, heavy metal, and a bold choice of questioning the status quo, all coming together in a shoe. The design is driven by the idea of beauty in angst which is the core of my artistic expression.”
The Comet x Santanu Hazarika limited-edition drop will be available to purchase via Comet’s online store on February 8. The brand will offer an exclusive price for the first 50 pairs on its website.
