Comic Con India Expands to Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune in 2025

Comic Con India is all set to make a grand comeback this season by adding three cities to its roster: Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune.

The events are scheduled for Feb. 22 and 23, 2025 in Kolkata; March 8 and 9, 2025 in Pune, and March 22 and 23, 2025, in Ahmedabad. These conventions promise to immerse fans in the world of comics, manga, anime, and all things pop culture.

These new events add to the calendar for comic fans in India, with upcoming editions in Hyderabad (Nov. 15 to 17, 2024), Delhi (Dec. 6 to 8, 2024), Bengaluru (Jan. 18 and 19, 2025) and Chennai (Feb. 8 and 9, 2025) previously announced. Comic Con Mumbai dates are also expected to be announced soon.

With events in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai, it attracts over 200,000 fans annually and has a digital reach exceeding 330 million, according to Comic Con India. The festival unites diverse fandoms, including comics, toys, merchandise, anime, cosplay, television, film, gaming, and more.

Comic Con India, led by Nodwin Gaming, says their expansion is aimed at reaching passionate audiences in these new territories, as well as current ones like Hyderabad, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai. This program reflects Nodwin Gaming’s objective of building communities through outstanding, fan-centric events.

In a press release, Nodwin Gaming’s co-founder and managing director Akshat Rathee said about the expasion, “We are thrilled to bring Comic Con India to Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Pune. These locations are overflowing with devoted fans who deserve the complete convention experience. Our goal is to produce distinctive pop culture items that appeal to today’s youth, such as gaming arenas, cosplay, and special merchandise. We can’t wait to see these cities energized by fandom!”

Fans can look forward to a season filled with opportunities to celebrate their favorite pop culture icons and engage with fellow enthusiasts.
