The Collectors Edition of Rolling Stone is the ultimate chronicle of an iconic act. It is a prestige within the Rolling Stone brand reserved for those who change the fabric of global pop culture. Previous artists to grace the cover of the Collectors Edition include John Lennon, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Taylor Swift, Prince, Nirvana and David Bowie. BTS were chosen for the November 2020 Collectors Edition because of their incredible drive, barrier-breaking artistry and monumental impact on the world.
BTS is a South Korean group that has been capturing the hearts of millions of fans globally since their debut in June 2013. The seven members of BTS are RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. The band are known for their meaningful lyricism, uplifting messages of self love, dynamic performances and the intricate cinematic universe within their music videos. Over the past few years, the septet have established themselves as global superstars, working in tandem with their powerful fandom ARMY to make positive change in the world–all while breaking several global records and setting a new standard of what it means to be an artist in the 21st century.
The BTS Collectors Edition of Rolling Stone India will comprise new and past interviews with the band, archival pieces, photo features and stories by several guest writers from across India. This issue is made especially for India featuring exclusive content courtesy of BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment, and celebrates not only the group’s global popularity, but also their rise in the country.
