Control ALT Delete 13: Crowdfunded Festival Announces Lineup

The upcoming 13th edition of crowdfunded festival Control ALT Delete (CAD) has announced a lineup featuring 45 artists across five stages for the two-day event held at Mumbai’s Roaring Farm near Malad.
The comeback edition of the long-running independent music event – which last took place in 2020 before the pandemic – will include metal, hip-hop, singer-songwriters, electronic artists and rock bands alike, with everything in between.
Hip-hop artists at Control ALT Delete 13 will include Naezy, Yashraj, 100RBH and Poet Shaf, Farhan Khan, The Dharavi Dream Project, Wild Wild Women, Yung Fly, Shia x Zero Chill, Tracy De Sa, Shreyas and Vedang, Lil Malai and Tappori’s Paradise.
Metal at the festival gets repped by heavyweights such as Bhayanak Maut, Inner Sanctum and Third Sovereign, plus Infestation, Moral Collapse, Konflicts, Sabotage and more. Indie, alternative and rock acts at CAD 13 will include The F16s, Tejas, Saach and the Situation, Excise Dept, St. Cyril, Komodo Jane, Tidals, Gandhar and more.
Electronic artists and DJ-producers like Kiss Nuka (with a live set), Tarqeeb, Tyrell Dub Corp, Watashi, Hashbass and more are set to take over on the dancefloor-friendly side of things at the festival.
Genre-fluid artists like Bharg, Perp, Bawari Basanti, Marykali, Merak and Excise Dept are also on the bill, adding intrigue and excitement to the lineup. More high-energy artists like Bombay Brass, Drum Aani Bass and producer Raakshas round out the lineup.
In addition to just the festival, CAD is offering “volunteering and skill-based programs” this year. “We will also be introducing an apprenticeship programme in association with OffSet Education called ‘Off Course’ helping cultivate the next generation of sound engineers, light designers, stage technicians, and managers,” a press release states.
The pay-what-you-want entry fee model is applicable at the gates but also for those contributing in advance to Control ALT Delete’s crowdfunding campaign. While they had already raised ₹2.78 lakhs even before unveiling the lineup, the contributions have now passed ₹3 lakhs with about 215 supporters. All things considered, they’ve only inching towards meeting a quarter of the festival’s full budget, with the current goal set at ₹10 lakhs.
To meet the goal, in addition to the entry fee, Control ALT Delete is selling T-shirts, tote bags and tent accommodation for anyone wishing to camp at the festival.
