The uber-mod curators of Punjabi folk, indie band Cornershop are ready with their eight studio album, proudly titled Urban Turban. The crew announced on their website, on Holi day, that the album will be ready for release on May 14.  To offer a preview to their ethno-friendly drum ‘n’ bass laced hip-hop record, you can download their latest single of the album “Milkin’ It,” featuring In Light of Aquarius, which founder member Tjinder Singh  describes as, “Roundup of hip-hop’s finest names of inspiration before Jay Z came along to ruin it.” Among the many other collabs on the 11 track album, SoKo and rapper Kay Kwong feature in songs “Something Makes You Feel Like,” and “Concrete, Concrete,” respectively.

Here’s a video of their most famous song, “Brimful Of Asha.”
