Demonic Resurrection Announce UK Tour
The Mumbai extreme metal band will travel across five cities in July to promote their fourth album ‘The Demon King’
Mumbai extreme metallers Demonic Resurrection go international all through July to promote their fourth album The Demon King. The band has announced five dates as part of a UK club tour between July 7th and 13th, with more shows to be confirmed. The UK tour comes right after DR’s festival set in Scotland, at Les Fest in between June 27th and 29th. Following their UK tour, the band heads to Germany for Wacken Open Air in August.
This will be DR’s second visit to the UK, following their 2012 performance at Bloodstock Festival and a London club show. In 2011, the band was all set to perform at Sonisphere Festival and four other cities, but had to cancel their UK trip following visa problems. Exactly three years on, the band will perform in Exeter, Norwich, London, Cardiff and Brighton, with support from London prog death metal band De Profundis. Says frontman Sahil Makhija aka the Demonstealer, “This tour started coming together early this year, although the booking only happen in March, because some of our festival dates didn’t work out.” Unlike 2011’s visa problems, Makhija says getting the visa to play at Bloodstock in 2012 does not make him nervous about facing visa problems any longer.
DR will tour UK just around the time The Demon King releases worldwide, on July 13th in India on Universal Music, followed by a US, Europe and worldwide release on July 14th and 15th on Candlelight Records. The band is currently revealing the tracklist for the album with posters of each song, including tracks such as “Facing The Faceless,” “The Assassination” and “The Promise of Never.” Last week, Candlelight Records uploaded a demo version of DR’s first single off The Demon King, “Death, Desolation and Despair.”
