Digital Suicide

Digital Suicide is a two-piece alternative/electro rock band from Guwahati, Assam, who worked under a number of aliases (Ahimxa, Spice Boys) before settling on the name Digital Suicide. The band comprises Daniel Langthasa (Lead vocals and Guitar) and Deepak Borah (Backing vocals and Bass guitar). Their eclectic music is a blend of grunge, punk, Bollywood and alt rock. Originally featuring organic alt rock elements, Digital Suicide now relies heavily on electronica. The band launched a 5-track release, Demo, in 2010 on which Langthasa sings about everything from love to communalism and regional terrorism, among other topics. They are known for their energetic live performances and have been seen on stage at events such as the Ziro Festival of Music in 2012 and 2013, Harley Rock Riders Season IV in Kolkata and Great Indian Octoberfest in Bengaluru. Their goal is to spread awareness about the troubled region of North East India through their music. Their inspirations range from alt rock band R.E.M. to pop artist Lady Gaga.
