Diljit Dosanjh has revealed that he met with Diplo after a viral video of the American DJ and songwriter dancing to his Coachella 2023 set went viral.

In April this year, a video of Diplo grooving to Dosanjh’s “Patiala Peg” went viral.

A fan page shared the video on Twitter with the caption: “Diplo is out here vibing to Diljit Dosanjh at Coachella. I love the vibe in this video!”

During his cover story interview with Man’s World on Friday (October 27), 39-year-old Dosanjh acknowledged his enthusiasm for Diplo’s appearance at his performance.

Unhone bhangra paya ji,” the “Icon” singer exclaimed, adding: “After the performance, I went to his [Diplo’s] house and recorded a song for free with him. It was a gift for him.”

Dosanjh also revealed that he’s not very picky when it comes to collaborations.

The singer said he would “collaborate with anyone as long as the vibe matches.

“I don’t care if it’s a big artist or an entry-level musician; it’s a matter of vibe to me,” he said.

This week, Dosanjh released his brand new track “Hass Hass” in collaboration with Australian singer-songwriter Sia and Greg Kurstin.

The track, which is a fusion of Indian pop and international beats, is the first collaboration between the two singers.

Sia shared her experience working with Dosanjh in an interview with the Times of India.

She said, “‘Hass Hass’ was made with so much love, I left in a completely saturated dress.

She added, “Speaking Punjabi is much harder than you think; I sweated in my entire dress, trying so hard to get it right. I had to ask them to stop taking photos! I was completely drenched by the time I nailed it.”

“Hass Hass” is available to stream on all platforms.
