DJ/Producer Alan Walker to Open for Justin Bieber in Mumbai
The 19-year-old Norwegian artist will join the Canadian pop star on his debut India concert
The buzz around Justin Bieber’s debut concert in India next month is only getting stronger by the day. Ever since the show–which will be held on May 10th in Navi Mumbai–was announced, there has been constant talk about its exorbitant ticket prices (Rs. 75,000/- for a VIP pass) and whether Bollywood actors would be joining the Canadian superstar on stage.
The latest we have heard is that the Mumbai leg of Bieber’s Purpose Tour in support of his fourth studio album will witness 19-year-old Internet sensation, the Norwegian DJ/producer Alan Walker as one of the opening acts.
Walker started working on music in 2012 and rose to fame after his track “Faded” became a massive hit across Europe. The young DJ/producer, who performed at the Enchanted Valley Carnival last year in Aamby Valley City, says, “I’m really looking forward to returning to India. My last performance there was amazing, and I can’t wait for my next visit.” He adds, “It’s also a great opportunity and honor to perform alongside Justin Bieber. Who knows, maybe my Indian fans will get a chance to hear some of my new music.”
The organizer behind the concert, White Fox India’s director Arjun Jain confirmed Walker’s addition, saying, “Yes, it is true that Alan Walker will be one of the international opening acts of the India leg of the Purpose Tour.”
Stay tuned for more updates.
