Don Toliver Continues the ‘Hardstone Psycho’ Era With Trippy ‘Tore Up’ Video

Video follows his recent collaboration with J-Hope and Pharrell

Don Toliver brings us into his dark, disordered world. On Monday, the rapper released the video for his rocky track “Tore Up,” continuing his Hardstone Psycho album with the new visual.

“In the club with some ones and I’m piped up/Shawty got me high, too high,” he raps. “I be steppin’ on a bitch in some white ones/Can’t control me, I think I’m too fly.”

The video, directed by ShapXO and White Trash Tyler, captures the star’s stream of consciousness as it jumps between random clips of him at the club partying and others of him standing in a ring as motorcycles on fire ride around him. Other clips capture his friends riding ATVs in the middle of the desert and Toliver having a sip of a drink at a bar. Other clips capture pole dancers at a strip club and visuals of Toliver graffitiing a beat-up car.

“HARDSTONE PRESIDENT,” Toliver captioned a clip of the “Tore Up” video as he teased the dates of his upcoming European tour in May.

The new video follows Don Toliver’s collaboration with J-Hope, Pharrell, and Speedy on “LV Bag” and the release of his collaboration with Wiz Khalifa on “Hide It.” Toliver released his album, Hardstone Psycho, in June, featuring songs with Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott, and Kodak Black. Rolling Stone ranked “Attitude” with Cash Cobain and Charlie Wilson as one of the Best Hip-Hop Songs of 2024, writing, “Toliver’s vocals find a perfect home on Cash Cobain’s bouncy, drill-infused production.”
