Although Dr. Dre recently dropped what he billed as his “grand finale” Compton, there is plenty more unheard music from the producer just sitting in his stuffed musical vaults. On Saturday night’s episode of Dre’s Beats 1 radio show The Pharmacy, the rapper unearthed just a small fraction of the tracks that he recorded during his long hiatus between 1999’s 2001 and Compton, including a supercharged track titled “Naked” featuring Marsha Ambrosius and Sly Piper.

“I’m opening the vault and letting everybody inside: Unreleased music, exclusives, freestyles, new artists,” Dre promised in a video promoting the new episode. Dre didn’t just premiere his own unreleased material; over the course of the episode, he also premiered an Anderson .Paak track titled “The Season/Carry Me” as well as Pusha T’s remix of Meek Mill and Drake’s “R.I.C.O.” Dre also dropped a freestyle where he rapped about going on a world tour with Snoop Dogg. “Asia, Africa, Tokyo, Mexico / We going to the places people told us not to go,” Dre says.

In Dre and Ice Cube’s Straight Outta Compton cover story for Rolling Stone, Dre opened up about his years-in-the-making but ultimately never released LP Detox. “I had between 20 and 40 songs for Detox, and I just couldn’t feel it,” the rapper said. “Usually I can hear the sequence of an album as I’m going, but I wasn’t able to do that. I wasn’t feeling it in my gut. So I really thought I was done being an artist.”

Working on the N.W.A biopic, Dre became reenergized as a rapper and producer, resulting in his swan song Compton. “I felt a [great album] coming. I know that feeling after being in it for so long,” Dre said in a Beats 1 interview in August. “So I just said, ‘I’m going for it’ and really started blacking out in the studio.”
