Drake Reunites With Travis Scott to Perform ‘Meltdown’ in Vancouver

Utopia rapper serves as surprise fill-in for 21 Savage on Drake's It's All a Blur Tour stop

Drake reunited with Travis Scott onstage for the first time since the Astroworld tragedy as the rappers performed their Utopia collaboration “Meltdown” live Tuesday in Vancouver.

“Oh yeah, for the first time ever in Vancouver, Astro and The Boy, we in this bitch,” Drake told fans at the Rogers Arena:

Scott was a semi-surprise, last-minute fill-in for the It’s All a Blur Tour’s usual co-star, 21 Savage, who was unable to partake in the Canadian portion of the trek due to his ongoing immigration issues; in the days leading up to the Vancouver shows, Scott was spotted around British Columbia, fueling rumors that he would replace 21 Savage for the gigs. (J. Cole previously substituted for 21 Savage in Drake’s native Toronto.)

In addition to “Meltdown,” Scott and Drake also performed their hit “Sicko Mode,” while Scott himself delivered his Utopia tracks “I Know?” and “Fe!n” plus “Goosebumps.”

Scott’s appearance came just hours after the rapper announced his own Circus Maximus tour, which kicks off Oct. 11 in North Carolina before making its way to cities like Orlando, Seattle, Dallas, and Los Angeles (but not Houston, where the Astroworld tragedy occurred).
