GET READY FOR more Scary Hours as Drake has announced the third installment in his EP series, arriving tonight at midnight.

The rapper revealed the project — which he wrote and recorded over a period of five days — in an Instagram video where he’s an audience for one at an orchestral performance at Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall.

“I’ll say this to you I’m not… I feel no need to appease anybody. I feel so confident about the body of work I just dropped that I know I can go and disappear for whatever… six months, a year… two years,” Drake says in voiceover, alluding to his recent album For All the Dogs.

“Though I’m not into the lengthy, super-lengthy disappearances just for the sake of mystery. You know, ultimately, it’s coming to me in a way that I haven’t experienced since If You’re Reading This [It’s Too Late] where it’s just kind of like I feel like I’m on drugs.”

Drake goes on to add that none of the songs on Scary Hours 3 were written during the For All the Dogs sessions. “It’s not like I’m picking up from some unfinished shit. You know, this is just happening on its own. And who am I to fight it?”

The video ends with a program card revealing Scary Hours III, along with its executive producers Aubrey “Drake” Graham, the rapper’s go-to engineer Noel Cadastre, and Kevin Durant, the NBA star who previously was credited as A&R on For All the Dogs.

Drake first released his Scary Hours in 2018, with the two-track EP featuring “God’s Plan” and “Diplomatic Immunity.” The three-song Scary Hours 2 arrived in 2021 with “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs,” and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross.
