Dream Theater announced their new drummer, Mike Mangini, in the third episode of their YouTube series which follows the band members as they search for their new drummer after the departure of Mike Portnoy. In the third episode, after a series of auditions, Mike Mangini was finally announced as the new drummer for the band. Mangini who has played with Annihilator, Extreme, James LaBrie, and Steve Vai is also a teacher at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and has held five World’s Fastest Drummer world records.
