Dreamcatcher Call for a Peaceful Tomorrow in Their Latest Music Video ‘Vision’

The single leads the group's seventh EP, 'Apocalypse: Follow Us'

Following the release of their LP Apocalypse: Save Us under the ongoing Apocalypse series, K-pop’s resident rock royalties Dreamcatcher make a dynamic return to the spotlight with their latest EP, Apocalypse: Follow Us. Fronted by the lead single “Vision,” the six-track EP unravels a new chapter for the septet as they aim to spread the message of harmony whilst encouraging others to join their fight against the enviromental issues.

Co-composed and arranged by electronica band Glen Check’s June One, “Vision” stays true to Dreamcatcher’s sonic identity, blending dark sonic elements with laudable vocal performances. A sharp thematic switch from their past release, “Maison,” which saw Dreamcatcher highlight the grave dangers of climate change, the group’s latest dark techno-driven single establishes the members as messengers of peace, inviting others to join their fight to combat environmental issues. Further enhanced by electronic sound and metal, the chorus is quintessentially Dreamcatcher with members Siyeon, Gahyeon, Yoohyeon, JiU singing “March along with the steps and reload/ Towards the hill full of enemies/ Salute to all of us/ I’ll give you a vision.” The new chapter is a fitting addition to the group’s Apocalypse trilogy that draws stories through nuanced observations of humankind’s relationship with the planet.

Creating an eerie atmosphere with wisps of urgency, “Vision’s” music video takes place in a dystopic setting (similar to a visual we last saw in their previous release “Maison”). With a blaring red siren, poisonous green gases and visuals of armed soldiers, the message is clear as day – action against evil must be taken. Tasked with the responsibility of putting an end to dissonance, Dreamcatcher launch their message of peace across the world, hoping to inspire others to walk down the path of mutual understanding and co-existence. This concept was largely hinted at in the comeback’s promotional materials that saw the recurrence of the microphone, a possible nod at the group’s vision of disseminating messages warning the planet against the dangers of climate change.

Apocalypse: Follow Us comes roughly six months following the release of their landmark LP, Apocalypse: Save Me. Dreamcatcher are currently preparing for their two-day concert series Apocalypse: Broken Halloween, set to take place in Seoul, South Korea, on October 29th and 30th. The septet will also be touring Europe for their Apocalypse: Follow Us tour. Scheduled to begin next month, it will see Dreamcatcher perform in Berlin, Tilburg, Warsaw, London and Paris. The European tour follows Dreamcatcher’s successful nine-city American tour, 2022 Dreamcatcher World Tour [Apocalypse: Save us].
