Global pop star Dua Lipa keeps her date with India, returning to headline the second edition of Zomato Feeding India Concert on Nov. 30, 2024 at Mumbai’s MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).

The concert, which also features pop artist Jonita Gandhi and Punjabi artist Talwiinder on the lineup so far, will have tickets go live with a pre-sale for HSBC cardholders on Aug. 27 at 12 pm until Aug. 29, when general ticket sales begin.

Lipa, who released her third album Radical Optimism and delivered hits like “Houdini” earlier this year, will perform in India as part of her previously announced Asia leg of the Radical Optimism Tour. The “Levitating” hitmaker kicks off her Asia run of shows in Singapore on Nov. 5 and concludes in Seoul on Dec. 5.

The Zomato Feeding India Concert marks Lipa’s second performance in the country. In 2019, she performed at the OnePlus Music Festival in Navi Mumbai. Outside of performances, however, the pop star did spend time bringing in the New Year in Rajasthan at the end of 2023.

She says in a statement, “My recent trip to India was a beautiful reminder of how much I love this place. The warmth and energy I felt were amazing, and I can’t wait to return in November 2024 to perform for an incredible audience at the Zomato Feeding India Concert.”

The first edition of the Zomato Feeding India Concert – which is described in a press release as a “community-driven initiative to accelerate progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030” – took place in Mumbai on Dec. 10, 2022 with American hip-hop chart-topper Post Malone headlining. Other performers also included DJ-producer KSHMR, Indian crowd-pullers Ritviz, singer-songwriter Anuv Jain and more, with a reported 25,000 fans in attendance.

Zomato’s CEO and founder Deepinder Goyal said in his statement, “For the second edition of Zomato Feeding India Concert we have one of my favorite pop music icons, Dua Lipa, and I couldn’t be more excited! Dua has recently shared her love for India and this concert will help strengthen our country’s resolve to eradicate malnutrition and hunger in India.”

Zomato Live heads the day-long event as organizers and the Feeding India Concert announcement comes on the back of Zomato buying Paytm’s events and movies ticketing business, which includes the ticketing platform Paytm Insider and Paytm Movies for $244.2 million. The transition will take place after 12 months, moving on to Zomato’s newly launched District app.
