India’s only rhythm and percussion festival will feature international Grammy-winning musicians, a talent competition, masterclasses and much more
The third edition of Dumru Rhythm Festival is all set to take place in Pune from December 18th to 20th. Regarded as India’s only percussion festival, Dumru will also see international Grammy-winning percussionists conducting workshops and taking stage for the very first time, including Austrian drummer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and record producer Thomas Lang, Latin jazz percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo aka “Mañenguito” and Brazilian jazz fusion percussionist Rubem Dantas.
The festival will also feature some of the country’s best-known musicians, including drummer Ranjit Barot
The organisers of the festival will be donating the entire profit from ticket sales towards eradication of malnutrition in India via their initiative ”˜Music for Food’.
