The second edition of folk heritage, conservation, and artistry-focused gathering Durbar by Godawan Estuary Water will bring in the likes of Israeli artist Shye Ben Tzur and The Rajasthan Express, folk music collective Nimad Live featuring Indian percussion legend Trilok Gurtu and more, taking place at Abheygarh Palace in the town of Khetri, Rajasthan, on Jan. 9 and 10, 2026.
The luxury retreat festival builds upon its debut edition in December 2024 at Ranthambore, with the events now moving to a new location in January 2026. The lineup also brings together Gujarat band The Tapi Project, who are known for their psychedelic performances, and Nuqta Project, known for blending poetry and sound.
Gurtu, for his part, will join as featured guest with five folk music groups and artists Jayesh Malani and Bharat Chandore, who make up the ensemble Nimad Live for a headline set. Ben Tzur, who collaborated with Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Rajasthani musicians like Nathu Lal Solanki on the 2015 album Junun, will return to India (minus Greenwood) and bring hypnotic global grooves.
Durbar will also showcase the Phad tradition, described in a press release as “a centuries-old Rajasthani art form that fuses music, painting, and oral storytelling through hand-painted scrolls.”
The event’s cultural curator is Abhimanyu Alsisar, who previously worked with the likes of Magnetic Fields Festival over the last decade. Alsisar hails Durbar as “a celebration of Rajasthan’s living heritage, presented in a way that feels both timeless and new. Khetri offers the perfect canvas for this chapter—a destination steeped in history, waiting to be rediscovered. Together, we are curating a journey that places craft, music, and conservation at the heart of mindful luxury.”
Speaking on the return of Durbar, Diageo India’s chief innovation officer Vikram Damodaran adds in his statement, “Durbar by Godawan was envisioned as a confluence of culture, community, and conservation. Our first season reaffirmed the appetite for such mindful luxury experiences, and we are proud to return with an even more immersive edition in Khetri.”
Packages for the January 9-10, 2026 edition will range from ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,35,000, inclusive of accommodation, curated dinners, and exclusive access to all experiences.
