Over 40 artists ”“ Indian and international ”“ will perform across two days at the newly-announced ecologically-crafted music festival, Echoes of Earth, in Bengaluru on November 26th and 27th.

The first wave of artists booked to perform include UK electronica act Submotion Orchestra, beatbox artist Beardyman, Danish-Indian artist Alo Wala, fusion tabla producer Talvin Singh and more. Indian acts include Shillong blues rockers Soulmate, Delhi psychedelic/waltz/gypsy act Peter Cat Recording Co., Chennai rockers The F16s, electronic music producer Nicholson, fusion artist Zoya and more.

Echoes of Earth will take over Bacardi NH7 Weekender’s erstwhile Bengaluru venue, Embassy International Riding School, with a focus on performances and workshops on upcycling and recycling by artists and architects. Also part of the festival is Vadya Vithika, a museum of lost folk and tribal ethno-musical instruments, a property of the Indian Ministry of Culture.

Festival director Roshan Netalkar says, “Our endeavor is to reduce, reuse, recycle, and upcycle. Throughout the festival, you will witness ecological approaches and practices at play, made possible by adopting the most sustainable means of construction, energy and waste management.”

Tickets for the festival are now on sale, with day passes for Rs 1,500 and season passes for Rs 2,200. The next set of artists for the festival is expected in early November. Stay tuned for more details.
