Echoes of Earth, headquartered in Bengaluru, travels to Chopdem in Goa this February for a new edition.
Within a couple of months of their Bengaluru edition, eco-conscious festival Echoes of Earth heads to Goa, taking place from February 2nd to 4th in Chopdem.
The lineup includes Dutch electronic artist Satori, Australian trio Glass Beams, Filipino-American artist ((( O ))) aka June Marieezy, Italian DJ-producer Alexander Robotnick, Czech duo Noisy Pots, plus Goa-based Indian acts like Dualist Inquiry, The Lojal Experience, Merak, The Jass B’stards and more.
Electronic duo Oden & Fatzo, Israel’s Garden City Movement, U.K. artist Space Dimension Controller, South Korean disco-informed artist Shubostar also take top billing at the three-day festival, alongside artists including Bengaluru’s Prematron, Mumbai acts like Boombay Djembe Folas and Many Roots Ensemble, DJ-producers like Rafiki, Anushka and Chrms. Echoes of Earth Goa will also see Los Angeles-based artist Arshia Haq’s Discostan, an electronic-fusion collaboration between producer Hamza Rahimtula and the Rajasthani Folkstars, plus Bengaluru’s Dynamite Disco Club featuring DJs Stalvart John and Farhan Rehman.
Echoes of Earth Goa’s venue will be a 100-acre stretch of landscape, hosting over 40 artists across three stages. During the three days, the festival will also feature over 20 art installations, educational workshops, cultural folk performances and a flea market featuring sustainable brands.
Collaborating with the Goa Tourism Board, Goa State Biodiversity Board and organizations such as WWF-India and Felis Films, the festival continues its focus on “the efforts of organizations and individuals preserving the rich, delicate biodiversity of the Western Ghats.”
The festival’s founder and director Roshan Netalkar says in a statement, “Having grown up in the western ghats, I’ve observed the spotlight often bypasses the rich biodiversity of the region. Echoes of Earth’s arrival in Goa aims to redirect attention to these lesser-known ecological wonders. Music and Art hold immense potential to spread a larger message through communities – in Goa with the support of credible partners like Goa Tourism Board, we are confident of creating impact. towards environmental awareness, fostering responsible tourism, and resource conservation.”
Tickets for Echoes of Earth Goa 2024 are currently selling at ₹2,499 per day, with a three-day festival pass priced at ₹5,900. Group of 5 (₹28,000) and group of 10 (₹53,000) are also on sale.
