The pop singer-songwriter star will close his ‘+ - = ÷ x’ Mathematics Tour’s Asia leg in Mumbai
Ed Sheeran will return to India in 2024, announcing a show on March 16th at Mahalaxmi Racecourse in Mumbai as part of his + – = ÷ x Mathematics Tour.
The show – which will mark Sheeran’s third performance in the country – is being put together by BookMyShow Live along with AEG Presents, as part of his Asia tour in early 2024. BookMyShow – which has been bringing down the likes of pop act Westlife and hip-hop/pop artist Post Malone – is the co-promoter of the tour in India. Tickets for the tour in the general sale category will begin on October 27th, 3 pm onwards. An exclusive pre sale for Kotak credit card holders will be live from October 25th, 11 am onwards.
Sheeran – who is a one-man show with live looping, rapping and more – has been occasionally joined by a band for the first time on his + – = ÷ x tour in the U.S. last month. The tour kicked off in April 2022 in Dublin and has been performing material across his six albums, plus the 2023 full-length Autumn Variations. According to BookMyShow, the India leg of this tour will be Sheeran’s final stop in the Asia tour. He will be supported by fellow U.K. singer-songwriter Calum Scott as special guest in Mumbai.
The hitmaker behind songs like “Thinking Out Loud,” “Shape Of You,” “Bad Habits” and “Sing,” among others first visited India in 2015, also at Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai. In November 2017, Sheeran returned for a second show at Jio World Garden in Bandra Kurla Complex. The latter took place despite Sheeran injuring himself in a bicycle accident roughly a month before the show and featured a supporting set from singer-songwriter Lauv, who’s now gone on to command his own following in India.
