Eminem’s Shady XV compilation, which collects two discs worth of music to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Shady Records, is out on November 24th, but the set’s 28 songs isn’t enough to fully tell the story of the rapper’s label. Eminem has remedied that by releasing a free mixtape called Shady Classics, a 66-song collection curated by DJ Whoo Kid.

Shady Classics gathers the best of what’s not on the Best Of, from loose Eminem freestyles and featured verses to D12 cuts and over a dozen 50 Cent recordings. Among the highlights on the mixtape are Eminem’s guest spot on Dr. Dre’s “Say What You Say,” D12’s “Devil’s Night” and the clever juxtaposition of both Eminem and 50 Cent’s versions of “Wanksta.” Stream or download Shady Classics over Datpiff.

“It is sort of a compendium of Shady Records material,” Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg told MLive.com. “There’s not a bunch of new stuff on there or anything. That would be insane to release a 66-song album. I don’t know why anybody thought we were doing that; it’s sort of a compendium of the material we’ve released that we didn’t have room for on the greatest hits that we really like.”

Shady XV‘s first disc will feature new music recorded by the Shady crew ”“ Eminem, Yelawolf, Bad Meets Evil and Slaugterhouse ”“ including the Sia collaboration “Guts Over Fear” and the Motor City love letter “Detroit Vs. Everybody.” The compilation’s second disc houses Eminem’s non-albums hits like “Lose Yourself” alongside Shady Records’ biggest successes like D12’s “My Band” and “Purple Pills” and 50 Cent’s “In da Club” and “P.I.M.P.”
