Empty Cafe is a band that was formed about 2 years ago, when Vinay and Gandhaar first met. They started off with a band called Paradigm, and were mainly into typical Indian fusion rock. Then, about a year ago they switched to blues and funk. As Gandhaar has been trained only in Indian classical music, there was a huge Indian influence on all their compositions. So, they ended up playing a fusion of Indian classical and blues. They have played at various places in Pune, and were also selected for the Ladakh Confluence in 2010. This was the only band from Pune that was selected for this global event. They are currently working with a few artists from Pune to try out some new projects.
