Entries for the Third Edition of The Indies are Now Open

Artists who have released music between January 1st, 2021, and March 31st, 2022, are eligible to apply for the award show

After two successful editions, award show The Indies – which recognizes Indian artists for their contribution to music over the past year – is now back for a third time.

To be eligible for an Indie, artists must have released a particular project between January 1st, 2021, and March 31st, 2022.

This time around, the organizers will be spreading out the awards across 27 categories. While the staple top honors such as Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and EP/Album of the Year will be watched closely, genre-specific awards for Pop, Rock/Blues/Alternative, Metal/Hardcore, Rap/Hip-Hop, and Electronic/Dance Music are also up for grabs.

At last year’s edition, the likes of Shillong blues band Soulmate, New Delhi hip-hop artist Prabh Deep, singer-songwriters Kamakshi Khanna and Tejas as well as prog-rockers Protocol, among others, picked up an Indie.

To send in your entries, artists can fill up The Indies entries form. The last date to send in entries is 15th September 2022. Artists and their representatives can write to theindies2020@gmail.com in case there are any queries.
