Escape Festival 2013 Lineup Announcement
The three-day festival in Uttarakhand returns for its sixth edition with a mix of rock and EDM

The sixth edition of the three-day music and arts festival is ready to kick off next month. The festival, which will be held in Naukuchiatal in Uttarakhand, features Delhi musicians such as dub/reggae eight-piece the Ska Vengers, electro rockers Fuzz Culture, psychedelic rock band Faridkot [who are working on their new album] and Sanchal Malhar, lead vocalist and songwriter of psychedelic rock band Indigo Children and glitch hop artist Frame/Frame.
Big names representing other parts of the country include instrumental rock artist Warren Mendonsa aka Blackstratblues, Bengaluru alt rockers Thermal and A Quarter [playing with their new bassist, Leslie Charles, ahead of their UK tour] and Nagaland pop rock group Alobo Naga & The Band. Escape takes place at Naukuchiatal’s The Lake Resort, spread across two stages ”“ the Soul Garden stage and the Magic Forest stage.
Kolkata’s The Gyan Singh Connection, which features members of rock band Skinny Alley and friends will pay tribute to bassist Gyan Singh, who passed away last year, will also jam together at the festival.
Other attractions at Escape include a film festival, flea market and tents for tattoo artists, potters, graffiti artists and photographers. More artists and ticket details will be announced soon.
