XO, Kitty fans start your engines. The Netflix original and To All the Boys spinoff series returns for a second season on Jan. 16 — and Rolling Stone can exclusively reveal a first look at both the soundtrack and several key images from the new episodes.

While author Jenny Han‘s works have gone from New York Times bestsellers to multiple beloved film and television projects, including the Netflix trilogy To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and the Amazon Prime series The Summer I Turned Pretty, their reliance on modern soundtracks and needle drops has remained one of the quintessential hallmarks of a Han project. And XO, Kitty is no different. The new season will feature songs from Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, IVE, Mansawakili, Superpop, LE SERRAFIM, HiFive, cignature, and more. (See the full tracklist at the bottom of the post.) Below is a sneak peak at some popular songs that viewers will hear in the new episodes releasing Thursday.

Set in Seoul, South Korea, XO, Kitty centers around Katherine “Kitty” Song-Covey (Anna Cathcart), the beloved little sister and meddler first introduced in the Han film To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. But instead of the rambunctious middle schooler matchmaker older fans might remember, this Covey is focused on her own love story. Tired of being long-distance with her boyfriend Dae, Kitty moves to Seoul to attend the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS) with him and learn more about her late mother, who was an alumnus. But while confusion about her relationship and sexuality ensue, Kitty is introduced to a host of characters, including Q, Min Ho, Yuri, and more — leaving her more determined than ever that KISS is the place for her.

“Last semester ended with so much drama,” Kitty says in the Season Two trailer. “This semester I have my priorities straight. I’m ready to launch Kitty 2.0.”

But that’s much easier said than done. The end of last season saw Kitty facing expulsion after the administration found out she was sleeping in the boys’ dorm room at night to get away from her scary roommate. There’s her very own love triangle, between her former boyfriend Dae and her friend Yuri, who she has feelings for but is in her own seemingly happy relationship. And to top it all off, Kitty is still desperate to learn more about the time her mom spent in Seoul. Fans of To All the Boys will also have some surprises as Netflix revealed in December that Kitty’s old friend — and hopefully future brother-in-law — Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) will make an appearance. It’s a new semester and a new season and Kitty 2.0 is coming, whether KISS is ready or not.

Season Two of XO, Kitty premieres Jan. 16 on Netflix.
