Exclusive Premiere: Siddhant Bhosle and Sana Saeed Live It Up in Funky ‘Nadaniya’ Video
The pop singer-songwriter pairs up with the actor as they take in the night on the streets of Los Angeles
Pop artist Siddhant Bhosle‘s biggest hits so far have often included singing alongside the likes of Nikhita Gandhi (“Tu Hi Bata”) and Sukriti Kakar (“Khoya”) but that’s not to say he can’t pack a punch on his own. His latest funk-pop single “Nadaniya” is aptly playful and allows Bhosle to take the spotlight not just as singer and composer but also a dancer.
Featuring lyrics by Kaustubh Panat, “Nadaniya” gets its unshakeable disco-funk shimmer thanks to producers including Bhosle, Stuart DaCosta and Jehangir Jehangir, Andrew Haak and Surel Ingale. Bhosle’s fifth single, “Nadaniya” comes with a music video shot in Los Angeles, starring actor Sana Saeed as a partner in crime as they roam the streets of the world’s most glamor-filled city.
Bhosle says in a statement that “Nadaniya” was among the first songs he’d originally come up with, recording a voice note on his phone. “So far I have released some chill, soulful, and heartbreak songs, but I really wanted to showcase the other side of my personality through ‘Nadaniya,'” he adds.
Inspired by the likes of John Mayer and Bruno Mars, Bhosle says his admiration for a “global pop sound” is what led to the finessed approach to “Nadaniya,” which even includes a saxophone and a horn section in the main hook.
Previously based out of Los Angeles and San Francisco for a couple of years and then returning to Mumbai, Bhosle worked with artists in all three cities to finish the track. He says he was very hands-on with the production. “I have played all the guitar parts and solos. It’s been a fun ride with ‘Nadaniya,’ seeing it evolve through all the different versions and finally landing on this one, which just felt right,” Bhosle adds.
The music video, produced by Apoorv Arora, directed by Siddharth Dixit and shot by Shubham Ghosalia, gives the added celebratory sheen to the upbeat Hindi song. Bhosle calls working on the video as “one of the most fun times I’ve had being out and about in Los Angeles. “This song needed to showcase that energy of living in the moment, truly being free with your lover, and just enjoying it, and luckily we could capture that here in L.A.,” he says.
