After years of releasing singles and garnering millions of streams, New Delhi producer Trix aka Sanjog Bhushan is ready with his debut album Heaven. Ahead of its release on streaming platforms, you can hear the nine-track record in its entirety below.

In the works since early 2021, Bhushan says there were “unwanted circumstances” through most of last year that prevented him from completing work on Heaven and releasing it. “As soon as things got better with me, I completed all the tracks,” he adds.

Through the course of nine tracks, the producer champions his familiar tropical house, chill house and electronic-pop sound, bringing in vocalists from different corners to aspire for that EDM standard of evocative catchiness. “Each song here is a direct representation of what I feel or felt at a certain point of time in 2022. Love is the most profound emotion, which is why you would find that each track represents a certain emotion in the context of love,” he adds.

Beginning on an intoxicating note with “No One,” Trix brings an evenly-tempered banger on “In Love” and the story of attraction and rejection continues on songs like “Breathing” and “Taking My Time.” The sense of excitement is built up on every song right up to the song “Favourite Mistake.” It bears a more bittersweet tone, one that the producer says is guided by the feeling of how “everything seems like a mistake when you feel betrayed.” Heaven changes vibes from time to time, going beyond the expected build-ups and drops, with a saxophone leading the buoyant title track.

There are plans of not just releasing another album this year, but also personal goals for Bhushan. He says about his goals for the year, “Become a better person – a person that people can look up to for hope and light during times of darkness.”
